Darius Rucker Loves Patsy Cline

Don’t bet against Darius Rucker.  That’s what anonymous Twitter Poster @NotJakeOwen learned last month.   Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton spoke with Darius about it in the very room where Darius keeps his CD collection: “I want you to verify the photograph, because it’s right over there.   There’s a line in my song Alright, ‘I got the stereo and the best of Patsy Cline,’ and he goes, ‘OK, $500 to anyone who can prove that Darius owns The Best of Patsy Cline,’ and I’ve owned that record since I wass 16 years old.  I can sing every song on the record, I love that record.  So I’m sitting here watching TV and my tour manager calls and says, ‘You see what NotJake Owen said? He says $500 to the person who can prove you got Patsy Cline.’  So I walked over there, snapped a photo, and sent it to him, and said, ‘Send it in!’ The cool thing is whoever that person is paid the money.  But it was funny for me, cause I was like, OK, send him that!”  As the loser, @NotJakeOwen sent a $500 donation to Darius Rucker’s favorite charity: St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
