Cole Swindell’s new album, “You Should Be Here,” will feature his first duet, and it happens to be with one of his favorite singers: Dierks Bentley. Cole revealed the story to Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton:
“I’m a huge Dierks Bentley fan. Dierks, Eric Church, and Luke were the three guys when I was in college I wanted to be like. I’ve got a song on my new album called ‘Flatliner,’ that he’s singin’ on with me. I wrote the song for Dierks around four years ago. I wrote it for him, sent it to him, and never heard from him. I don’t know if he heard it or didn’t like it, But a year or so ago, I was texting with him, and sent it to him, and he loved it. We talked about it for a while, and sure enough, we got to do it, and it’s gonna be awesome. I’m just very excited to be singing with Dierks.”
“Flatliner” is actually the first song on Cole’s new album, which will be released on Friday May 6th.
