Chris Janson & Keith Urban Jam

Chris Janson had the experience of a lifetime a few weeks ago. He & Keith Urban were scheduled to play the Grand Ole Opry.  He described what happened next to Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton:

“We just did some duets at the Opry a few weeks ago, and it was amazing. I knew he was on the show, so he’d mentioned to me a few months back, if I’m ever playing live he’s love to be in my band and jam. So I sent him a message, ‘Looking forward to seeing you on the Opry tonight, maybe we should do something.’ And he responded ‘OMG Yes!’  So we started talking about songs, he suggested we do something from the 90s, and we went back and forth. Then he suggested Grundy County Auction by John Michael Montgomery. That song is hard to sing! You forget sometimes how fast some songs are, and that one was hard to sing.  I hadn’t done it since I played the clubs.  I played harmonica, he played guitar, we switched off harmonies.  We did two shows at the Opry, closed it each show, and it was an incredible time.”
