2017 Most Played: Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton ended the year as the most-played country artist of 2017.  The list was compiled by Mediabase and reported by Country Aircheck, the sources for the Top 30 used in Country Countdown USA.  Blake’s success came as a result of three #1s during the year, including the latest: “I’ll Name The Dogs.”  Blake’s other #1s in 2017 were “A Guy With A Girl” and “Every Time I Hear That Song.”

In addition, it was announced that Blake Shelton has signed a new record deal with the label he’s been with his entire career: Warner Brothers.  “I remember my first trip to Nashville in 1994,” said Shelton. “I drove down Music Row and don’t know why, but when I passed the Warner Bros. building I said, ‘That’s the label I want to be on!’ Now, all these years later, I’m proud to have spent my entire recording career with such a great company. I look forward to more incredible years with my Warner family.”
