It’s been known for a few months that Jason Aldean was adding his name to the celebrity restaurants and bars in downtown Nashville. So when he co-hosted Country Countdown USA, Lon Helton asked him more about it.
“Yeah, we got a little something brewing down there. You go down lower Broadway, that place is jumping. That area has turned into a cool spot, a lot of cool restaurants and bars. FGL has a place, Dierks has a place, so we’re about to open our place within the next month or so. It’s going to be fun. I’ve always said it would have been a great thing to have in my mid-20s, have my own bar to hang out at! It’s cool that we’re able to do that, and have a place for people to come and have fun and be part of how Nashville is thriving right now.”
How will you put your own stamp on it? “I think if you look at my songs and our vibe and incorporate it in the bar. I have my own personal stuff to display around the bar. It will be my spot, it’s a place where I will go and hang out, it’s got my stuff, my vide, and my stamp. When you walk in and see what we’re putting in there, you’ll get the vibe for sure.”
Lon pointed out that Jason recently had an exhibit of personal items at the Country Music Hall of Fame. That exhibit closed a few months ago, so Jason said it’ll move to his new restaurant: “Yeah, we’re just moving it from one building to the other one, works out great!” No actual opening date has been given, but Jason indicated might be soon.
Jason’s interest in entertaining has extended to his home. He tells Lon he built a new party room complete with a couple of bowling alleys: “It’s true. If there’s one thing I like to do is have fun and entertain. It’s hard to go out these days, so we tend to do a lot of that at home. So I built a bar at the house with a couple bowling lanes, and a couple guest bedrooms for folks to stay. It’s a place where my kids could hang out with their friends, it’s a place to entertain people, watch football games, it’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent. I’d almost rather live there than in my house!”
UPDATE: Earlier this week, a press release on Jason Aldean’s new bar was released:
