Elk & Fish For Dustin Lynch

Dustin Lynch has been on the road all summer playing fairs & festivals around the country. Sometimes those festivals put him in some pretty rugged territory.  He told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton about one show he played with Dierks Bentley:

“Dierks & I shared a stage in Idaho.  This was an interesting day. I woke up at 5AM to a loud thud, and my bus had hit an elk pulling into this venue.  So that’s how we started our day, busted both windshields out. Lucking they stayed in the frame. We were in the middle of nowhere, so my bus driver had to drive 6 hours to Seattle to replace the windshield.”

Then last month, Dustin was playing more shows out in the Rockies, so he took a few days to visit Yellowstone Park: “You see pictures, but the camera can’t do it justice. We were coming from Vancouver, and had four days off before we played Montana.  So we took the bus there and made a fishing trip out if it.  It’s a great reset.  We got to fish a couple days.  It was a grueling day, to eat lunch in the middle of nowhere is so rare for me.”
