TOBY SURPRISES FANS DURING BIKE WEEK IN STURGIS
Toby Keith has been a regular performer at Bike Week in Sturgis SD. In fact, last year, Toby performed during a downpour, earning lifelong respect of the Harley faithful. This year, Toby and his posse were riding their motorcycles around town, and spotted a sign in front of a house inviting him to visit. So he and his group dropped in and shared a beer with the surprised fans.

TOBY REPORTS ON OUR TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN
Once again, Toby made his annual USO trip to Afghanistan and the Middle East. This time, Toby went deep inside the war zone, and says troop morale is very high.

TOBY HANGS WITH AEROSMITH DURING ELVIS TRIBUTE
Toby took part in an Elvis Presley tribute TV show last month. He taped it in Buffalo NY. He got Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry to take part as well.

LOTS OF TOBY MUSIC COMING IN 2008
Toby told Lon to expect a lot of music over the next 12 months. The Christmas CD, "Classic Christmas," will be out in two weeks. They will release "Little Drummer Boy" as a single. There will be one more single from Big Dog daddy. Then in the Spring, Universal will release a boxed set of Toby material covering his Mercury, Polydor, A&M, and Dreamworks years. This set will include one new song, which Show Dog will work as a single. Then there will be a soundtrack album for Toby's movie, "Beer For My Horses." And he hopes to have another studio album out in time for Christmas 2008. So look for a huge year in 2008 for Toby.

KENNY SINGS WITH GEORGE STRAIT ON NEW CD
Kenny Chesney has sung with many people during his career, from George Jones to Uncle Cracker. But perhaps his most anticipated pairing will be included in his new CD. For the first time, Kenny sings with his hero, George Strait, on a song called "Shiftwork."
“I can't tell you how many George Strait songs I played with my acoustic guitar, sitting on a stool with a tip jar back when I was in college,” Chesney admits with a laugh. “The idea that I get to be friends with someone who was such an influence on me is plenty, but to have him on my record, well, that's the ultimate deal 'cause George Strait doesn't sing with very many people and I never thought, growing up, I might be one of them.”
Kenny will introduce "Shiftwork" when he co-hosts Country Countdown USA this weekend!

KENNY CLOSES IN ON SONGWRITING ACHIEVEMENT
Kenny Chesney has enjoyed over a dozen #1 songs during his 15 year career, including his first #1 as sole writer with "Beer In Mexico." But right now, Kenny is poised to get his first #1 as a writer on a song performed by someone else. The current hit by Rascal Flatts, "Take Me There," was written by Kenny with two other writers, and was based on Kenny's idea. It's approaching the top of the chart right now, and Kenny discussed the feat with Lon Helton this week.
